Sharon Hoffer was born in Scotland and raised in South Africa. After completing a degree in Social Work, in South Africa, she left the hated regime of apartheid and came to Israel in 1987, where she has been more or less, ever since. Sharon never practised Social Work but took on a series of office and writing jobs in Israel instead. In her spare time she always enjoyed dabbling in creative projects, from ceramics to glass bead mobiles, and decoupage. A year ago, she was lucky enough to attend lessons in glass fusion and fell in love with the medium instantly. She loves the vibrant colours and the gleaming effects of light on glass. She lives in Raanana, Israel with her American husband and young son.

This beautiful fused glass mezuzah gives the feeling of the sky with its' colours and abstract shapes.  It has either a metal 'Shin' or 'Shadai' on the front of the mezuzah (Artist's discretion) as well as metal inserts on the top and bottom to allow for safe hanging. It measures 7" by 2 1/4" and can be hung inside as well as outside. 

No two items are exactly alike as every mezuzah is individually hand crafted by the artist.
